Review: Necron Lychguard / Triarch Praetorians Box

Review:  Necron Lychguard / Triarch Praetorians Box

This box review is on the Necron Lychguard / Triarch Praetorians box. These are my favorite Necron models I just love the way both of these units look.  I also think that the fluff for these guys is sick I mean how are these guys not awesome look and fluff wise.  Most people hate on both of these units and say this box is only good for making Lords and Crypteks. I am planning on using the Praeorians with an attached Destroyer Lord for my list and if I go with an Overlord on foot I plan on putting him with a Sword and Shield Lynchguard squad. I believe to get the best out of either of these squads you need an attached IC with a Resurrection Orb.  For the Praetorians the only character available is a Destroyer Lord because they are Jump Infantry and Either an Overlord or a regular Lord would work for the Lynchguard.  So let’s get to the Box Review and for those of you that haven’t read one of my box reviews before I use a 5 point system to judge the models including looks, Easiness to Assemble, Mold Lines, and Value for Money. So now onto the Box review:

Review: Necron Catacomb Command Barge / Annihilation Barge Box

Review:  Necron Catacomb Command Barge / Annihilation Barge Box

This Review is about the Necron Catacomb Command Barge / Annihilation Barge box. I think this is an awesome kit and I love both models especially the Command Barge.  I like how the Command Barge is so unique and no other army that I can think of has an HQ transport like it.  From what I've heard the Command Barge is not as good as it was in 5th edition. However  if you run a pair of them they get a lot better. As far as the Annihilation Barge goes I think it is a cool model and for only 90 Points you can’t beat it.

My 1st Models Painted: With the New Color Scheme

My 1st Models Painted: With the New Color Scheme

I have my 1st 5 Immortals Painted.  I was planning on switching to the purple color scheme put they reminded me of Easter eggs after I painted a few of them. This color scheme is very close to my original one I used a lot of the same colors.  My plan is to paint all my troops with the silver bodies and red shoulder pads/ heads.  I am thinking of painting my HQ and Elites with the red torsos and black solder pads like my old color scheme was.

Review: Necron Warrior Box

Review: Necron Warrior Box

The 2nd box I am going to review is the Necron Warrior box.  I am not a huge fan of the Necron Warrior models in my opinion they could defiantly use a re-sculpt.  The mold lines are terrible and they have those cheesy green rods that look so stupid. The one good thing about the Necron Warrior box is that you get 2 separate units with it for the price of one.  The second unit you get is Scarabs.  However since they don’t sell Scarabs separately this is the only way you can buy them unless you go through a company that sells bits.  So onto the review I use a 5 point system to rate the box.

Need Help with New Paint Scheme: I Just Can't Decide

Need Help with New Paint Scheme: I Just Can't Decide

The current paint scheme that I am using is taking way way to long to paint.  I really like it but I just don’t have the time to paint it.  So I came up with a new color scheme that take around a third of the time, but the problem is I can’t decide should I go with the Purple with Blue Energy or go with the same Red with Green Energy I used for my current paint scheme. So basically should I switch the purple shoulder pads and head with red and the energy with green or keep the purple with the blue energy. All my armies tend to be red or red and grey and I have always wanted a purple army.

Review: Immortal/ Deathmark Box

Review: Immortal/ Deathmark Box

I really like the look of the Immortals and their rules that is why they are going to be the main troop choice in my army.  In my opinion the Necron Warriors are alright models but they are just blah compared to the Immortals.  As far as the Deathmarks go I am not the biggest fan of the model but they aren’t worst looking either and are pretty good in 6th edition from what I hear. I haven’t yet assembled any Deathmarks so I can’t really comment a lot on them but I have lots of experience with the Immortals. I am going to use a 5 point system to judge the models including looks, Easiness to Assemble, Mold Lines, and Value for Money. So now onto the Box review:
